We recognize City elections tend to fly under the radar. In fact only 20 percent of voters voted in the last off-year election, meaning just 3,708 people chose who will decide the future of Vero Beach. This year only Vero and Fellsmere are having elections; Sebastian is not.
It’s easy to think, “What difference can one vote make?” But when only a small fraction of us actually show up, every single vote counts even more.
So, if you haven’t already, take a few minutes to watch the quick videos below to meet the candidates; we've got incumbents John Cotugno and Taylor Dingle hoping to keep their seats, with Brian Heady throwing his hat in the ring again. Polls are open until 7:00 p.m. Check your polling location at www.voteindianriver.gov.
