I support the reduction in traffic lanes only if the added space is used for landscaping. More parking isn't going to get people wanting to go downtown. Restaurants, shops, and safe walking areas will. Slow down the traffic... if it looks like a highway, people will treat it as such and zoom by. But if it's a pleasant downtown village, people will slow down and may even stop to shop.
