Welcome to the July 2023 edition of "State of the City," with Mayor John Cotugno and Special Guest Victor Dover.
Mayor Cotugno will give us a brief update on Three Corners and other important City business, before handing it over to Victor Dover, renowned street designer and author of Street Design: The Secret to Great Cities and Towns
About Victor Dover:
Victor Dover, FAICP, principal and cofounder of town planning firm Dover, Kohl & Partners, speaks internationally on the topics of livable communities, sustainable development and how to fix cities, neighborhoods and towns. He has 25 years experience implementing plans for livable, walkable and sustainable communities. His work across 22 states and five continents includes a range of environments: new neighborhoods, revitalizing traditional downtowns, transit-oriented development, retrofitting suburbia, comprehensive city and regional plans and more.
Dover is the coauthor with John Massengale, AIA, of Street Design: The Secret to Great Cities and Towns (Wiley, January 2014), which shows how to create beautiful, charming streets where people want to be. Through more than 150 case studies and hundreds of photos of streets old and new, Street Design guides readers through what works and what doesn't, and reveals the secrets behind designing beautiful streets and walkable places.
